Cold and snowy Sunday, 5th of May, saw the 176th 'Großes Wiener Derby' (Great Football-Derby of Vienna) between 'SK Rapid Wien' and 'FK Austria Wien', the two most traditional and sucessful football clubs in Austria and the only ones never being relegated.
After having lost two of the leading players during the winter breaks, the home team SK Rapid was inferior to Austria Wien in every aspect. Austria Wien striker Roland Linz scored two goals leading the Violets to a 3:0 victory. Moreover goal-keeper Joey Didulica extended his shut-out time to 831 minutes. The rivalty of the fan blocks is reflected by the enthusiasm, emotion and (unnecessary) animosity in every derby.
